Modern cars are often packed with all kinds of techniques to reduce emissions of the car. However, these techniques work very well on paper but in reality they can often cause engine problems. So everyday we work on cars with DPF problems, faulty EGR valves, broken swirl valves..., We can solve all these problems for you or modify your car before the problems even pop up.
This BMW E60 535d was brought to us to make his car reliable, fuel efficient and fast. So we began this project by removing the DPF and catalyst, both software and hardware. Then we proceeded to remove the swirl valves out of the intake manifold. We capped the holes off and reinstalled the manifold. The EGR valve was closed so that no soot can build up in the manifold. The car also got a KCPerformance Stage 1 Chiptuning to boost the performance from 286 HP and 580 Nm to 338 HP and 668 Nm.
During these modifications, we saw two things that should be replaced. After we gave the customer this feedback, we replaced an exhaust clamp and a seal in the intake manifold to ensure a better functioning car.
When the customer picked his car up, he was very pleased with the result. Especially the amount of torque that the car is producing now, transformed this BMW into a beast! He was also very pleased with the fact that his engine is now healthier and will live longer. The car is now also consuming less fuel.
