Postponing maintenance can cause you major headaches in the future. A bad bargain is dear at a farthing. So when maintenance is delayed or even skipped it may result in unnecessary engine damage. Thus, a saving now, can give you unforeseen high costs later.
This Land Rover called us with an engine that did no longer ran after it gave a loud smack in the engine compartment. After the car was transported to us, we saw that the timing belt was broken. We started to take off the cylinder head, in order to inspect the damaged parts.
We noticed that the deeper we went, the more parts were broken. The cylinder head was given a thorough overhaul and the surface of the engine block was checked. We replaced all the broken parts with new ones and adjusted the timing of the engine.
We also replaced a few parts to keep the engine healthy and we gave it a service. We can now ensure that the engine is reliable and can enjoy every mile it drives.
When we delivered the Land Rover back to the owner he was glad that we had saved his car and made it a lot healthier. The car was again ready to be used!
