This fast Volvo V70 T5 2.4 turbo came to us to make a custom bigger intercooler for his engine in combination with a better downpipe. The original intercooler was replaced with a bigger and better intercooler. This was new developed by us to use the maximum space available behind the bumper. The intercooler was developed in a way that the original sensor could still be used. The mounting points and silicon hoses were also custom made. To keep the engine healthy, the engine received new high performance oil, oil filter and spark plugs. Next on the list was the downpipe. We modified a JT downpipe so it would fit the V70 and to weld a catalyst in place. The exhaust also received a new lambda sensor. After further inspection of the vehicle, we saw that the rear trailing arm rubbers were very worn. We showed the client the worn parts and informing him about our knowledge and craftsmanship in handling upgrades with a ride in one of our demo cars, he wanted to take his handling to the next level. We placed new Febi-Bilstein trailing arms with custom made KCPerformance Whiteline bushings for the rear trailing arms. These were developed from scratch with custom milled housings, washers,... and the polyurethane bushings were also milled to fit so that we could replace the bushing with a complete custom bushing that fitted in the original space in the trailing arm. The V70 also received original rubbers around the front sway bar and Whiteline rubbers on the rear sway bar. To complete the new and better rubbers we fitted new Bilstein B8 shock absorbers and Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs. We also replaced the topmounts and topbearings with new parts. The fast luxury estate now has a nice gain in performance witch can be used to the max in every corner by means of the new tighter chassis. The V70 now had the performance, handling and luxury of a real gran tourer.
